Catoctininn great wedding latest news

Special thanks to all the team at    www Catoctininn.com   beautiful wedding day Cala d or.

Its been a few months now and we wanted to say  a special thankyou to all who helped with our special event in Mallorca Cala d'or. Majorca is such a wonderful place for a wedding.  thanks to  www mallorca.uk.com

arranging the cars, flights, hotels and guest were feed and watered.

The latest news from us since we said good bye a fter a special day is all is well except for the events listed below.

The animals all coped amazingly well with the
move. 2500 miles door to door. Quite an
adventure. Had a huge truck 26ft and dolly with
my SUV on the back of that. Mike did so well with
the driving. Cats were loose up front with us in
the cab (tried keeping them in cages and they
howled blue murder so let them out and they were
amazing) and the two dogs were in the back of the
truck (we had to stop every 2 hrs to give them
air/water etc). Mike also had to lift them in and
out of the truck and they even tried to help by
putting up front paws and trying to jump didn't
stand a hope mind you. After the first stop they
seemed to understand the "program" and settled
down. They were so tolerant it was unreal. At
night, we would all stay in a hotel room and
amazingly we still have all four alive and well.

Dogs have met their first rattle snake and came
back when we yelled - thank god! Tikanni keeps
getting red paws/body from the red desert sand
and Suki is scaring the contractors and everyone
else to death. Tikaani is still having problems
with his leg - will follow up with the vet here
in Feb when he has his annual exam. Still think
its soft tissue. Didn't realise you were up to 4
dogs . Ours now weigh around 70lb (Suki) and
80lb (Tikaani) - don't have any more room on the
sofa or hotel bed.

House is fine - Unfortunately the
cabinet/countertop contractor really messed up
and all the kitchen/bathroom cabinets/countertops
need to come out and be replaced - didn't think
we would be remodeling this soon . We held back
money at closing but its still a hassle to fix.
Cabinets are due to arrive tomorrow and then the
fun begins!!! Contractor is helping out and is
offering one of his guys to help with install
which is good as some of the cabinets are going
to be HEAVY.  We are changing the kitchen layout
so there are plumbing/gas/drywall things we need
to sort out as well. Should be entertaining.
We keep telling ourselves anything is better than
what we have right now. Can't believe we ordered
cabinets over the internet though.  We looked
at several different brands but either couldn't
get the right quality, color or door and then
found this cabinet company in Maine. Kitchen
designer re-worked the kitchen and has been
really good with sending samples etc but will
still be happier tomorrow when they arrive OK.
Now we just have to choose the granite slabs
most people do granite/quartz here and the choice
goes on and on. We are going to have to travel to
Phoenix next week so we can finally select the
slabs. We have been back and forth over color and
have decided to go for drama in the kitchen.
Something more basic/muted in baths hope to
god it looks good given that this stuff costs a
fortune.

Business going OK - need to get more work in. We
have been a bit swamped with stuff hence our lack
of writing. Sub-contractor left after a month and
is now competing against us - we are obviously
not at all happy about this. It would seem he
started working on this move before we took over
(had to get license) - we're not sure if seller
knew or not. Plus he went through their records
while they were away so he knows the pricing. We
wouldn't be so concerned but we have one very
large account and there is now a pricing war
going on. Anyway we are trying to expand into
other areas - fire alarms - that he can't do
which should help us when these contracts come up
for renewal in Sept. My thinking is if we lose
out on some work to him, we can try and replace
with new work. Fingers crossed. If we didn't have
this problem everything would be fine.

We went to LA for Xmas and met up my sister and
the kids - can't believe they are nearly 7
They are huge  Took the dogs with us and all
had a good time. Hoping to see more of them now
we are closer geographically (10-11hr drive each
way). They are all doing well exceot ongoing
battles with Skeet (ex-husband). We are used to
driving in the US now so trip is not too bad. We
may even try and meet her in Vegas for weekend.
Can't believe she has lived in the US and never
been to Vegas. We drive to Las Vegas once a month
so I can get my hair cut  and get anything we
need. We are living in a very small town with
beautiful scenery but no decent
stores/restaurants or hair salons  We are back
to basic telephones and satellite internet (not
high speed!). Its not too bad once you get used
to it but I do get a bit stir crazy. It was right
decision to move though with the disastrous mess
in Florida. We are about the same driving time
from Vegas and Phoenix but prefer Vegas for
getting around. Phoenx is as bad as LA. My sister
lives in nice area by Beverly Hills but still the
traffic is BAD.

Have attached a couple pics of the "back yard"
and dogs etc. Nice thing is the business came
with a boat as wel as big truck Mike happy so
we can spend time on th lake this summer. We even
have small desert beach  Will send some of the
house once everything done.

Please do send pics of your house etc. Would love
to see them. Glad the projects are moving
forward - if they just keeping moving, its good.

My Mum and Dad are fine - spending a lot of time
in Spain. Not sure if we will be able to get them
to visit here which is a shame. We may need to go
back to the UK next year because of the visa
this fills me with dread right now as not sure
how we are going to renew.

We have trip planned to Jamaica at the end of
March as we have to leave the country and come
back in again. We were going to go to Mexico but
it was going to cost as much and take as long as
going to the Caribbean. We are staying at a
plantation has horses so we will definitely be
going for a ride into the mountains there
outside of the main tourist traps so hoping its
going to be relaxing and good trip. Definitely
planning a trip to Appletum Rum for tasting and
supplies.

Glad your lot are doing good. Amazing how grownup
Amy must be now she works really hard at the bar and events and places to go  company    www.yacuk1.com

Unfortunately, I haven't heard from Carol since
around end of 2007.

Now things calming down a bit, I should be able
to be better penpal. Please write again soon with
all your news. Would love to hear more about the
website biz - how does it work.

I am now working on business advertising and
trying to see if I can do all our tax returns
this year rather than paying an accountant (I do
90% anyway) so just need to see if I get decent
software etc. Back to business and granite
pics  talk to you soon.

Hope this makes kinda sense.

Best and love to you all at   www propertycasa.com    great job on finding the villas to rent.

Big thank you to James and all his gmail hard work,  mobile phoning to the UK. mallorca majorca gifts and suprises.
